EarthNet has implemented aboveground storage tank (AST), and underground storage tank (UST) removal and closure services at many commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal facilities, at the most competitive service rates available in the area.
EarthNet provides our clients with the necessary tank closure documentation for regulatory compliance and ensures that the work is completed in a safe and timely manner. We have provided services to retail oil distributors, real estate agents, schools, banks, law firms, developers, homeowners, and other environmental consulting firms. All work is conducted with a high degree of technical skill while ensuring our clients’ interests are met.
Leaking Storage Tank Services
Often during removal of storage tanks, evidence of a leak is encountered. EarthNet will work directly with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) and other regulatory agencies to helps our clientele navigate environmental regulations and to complete the required scope of work.
Heating Oil Tank Services
EarthNet offers free inspections of USTs and interior/exterior ASTs to determine if a leak is occurring or has previously occurred. We also offer emergency response services for actively leaking basement tanks.
If a leak is discovered, EarthNet works to obtain financial assistance through the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund (VPSTF) to support tank owners with the assessment and cleanup at their property upon discovery of a leaking tank.
The VPSTF is a fund that is generated by the fuel tax that assists in the reimbursement for the remedial efforts to address the environmental concerns related to leaking tanks from both regulated and non-regulated sites. EarthNet helps our clients with the entire process from start to finish.
For non-regulated heating oil tanks, the VPSTF deductible of $500 is normally waived to assist the owners in paying for cleanup efforts. For most of our residential customers, there is no out-of-pocket expense. If your insurance company is involved, that is no problem. We are experienced at working with insurance companies both residential and commercial.
If your tank is over 25 years old, the chances of a leak are greatly increased. Unsure if your heating oil tank is leaking?
